Army 89A is Responsible for Army Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting
A skilled knowledge of the Standard Army Ammunition Modernized-System is required for Army Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialists (SAAS). To ensure the proper ammunition inventory levels, their work in this system must be extremely structured and detail-oriented. These specialists are in charge of supplying soldiers with the weapons they need to succeed whether they are on the battlefield or somewhere else. They will enter data and produce reports. Automated ammo transactions will be carried out by soldiers in this MOS
using a data browser. Issue, shipment, reception, turn-in, and maintenance
transfer are some of these transactions. Uploading or downloading automated
data processing equipment is one of their job responsibilities. Because a
significant percentage of this MOS's duties entail using various computer programmed, it is advantageous for soldiers to be accustomed to using computer systems. Automated ammo transactions will be carried out
by soldiers in this MOS using a data browser. They will keep a supply station
for ammunition and provide supplies to the unit from there.
These specialists are responsible for the ammunition in addition to bringing it to the battleground. They make sure the ammo is utilized by the right individuals and goes where it should.
